I am a skier
Tell us about skiing at your home mountain where you started skiing and where you ski today.
How did you get into skiing?
I went on a trip with friends. I had been snowboarding for a long time. On the trip, my friends who were just getting into freestyle skiing started to throw down really hard, and I was inspired. I got a magical feeling when I even thought about skiing, and eventually I bought a used pair of Invaders from one of my friends. From there on I've been addicted.
Why do you ski?
To have fun. And someday make a career out of it to inspire new kids to realize the amazing sport that discovered called skiing, as well as to help myself to ski for as long as possible and as much as possible.
Tell us a great story or two about skiing or anything good or bad.
The first time I did an inverted trick skiing, I was so stoked. I hucked it as hard as I could (or so I thought) and barely landed it, very backseat. I look back at the video of it and wonder how I made it, and I love comparing it to videos of my frontflips now. That flip was the begginning of people calling me "the frontflip man" at my hill, because I throw fronts off of just about every feature around, in or out of the park.
