I am a skier
Tell us about skiing at your home mountain where you started skiing and where you ski today.
I started skiing at various resorts around Tahoe while I was in college. I would spend Thursday-Monday in Tahoe and go back to Berkeley for three days of classes. My last semester ended in December. I took my last final and drove out to Salt Lake City and hour later. I have been living in Salt Lake for the past four years, skiing Alta and Snowbird. Last season I was lucky enough to discover Mt.Baker.
How did you get into skiing?
While studying at U.C Berkeley I started skiing. I needed to choose a major and skiing limited my time so much that I had to choose a major that worked with my skiing schedule. The most effortless decision making process helped me get into skiing.
Why do you ski?
Why do I live? To devote a majority of my energy towards happiness, fulfillment, and fun!!!
Tell us a great story or two about skiing or anything good or bad.
Last March I spent a month up at Mt.Baker skiing pillows and steep, long lines at Mt.Baker. The day I got back I skied a 3 ft. pow day at Alta with all of my best girlfriends. The moral of the story: sometimes life can work out just perfectly.
What words do you live by?
If you can evoke energy and enthusiasm within yourself you will start to see that in everyone around you.
What else would you like to say?
Thank you to Line, Helly Hansen, Smith Optics, Gordini, Hot Chillys, Surefoot, and Alta Ski Resort for supporting me in my search for fun.
